Message from Superintendent Dave Wilcox

WISD is excited to become a District Partner with DonorsChoose. Our incredible teachers know our students’ unique needs better than anyone. Through DonorsChoose, the teachers are empowered to provide their students with the necessary resources to enhance their vision for high-quality instruction in their classrooms. WISD is grateful for this partnership and for the generous and caring donors that help our schools become stronger, so that our students thrive.

About Winnsboro ISD

Winnsboro ISD (WISD) is a rural Title I school located in the Piney Woods of East Texas. WISD serves approximately 1,400 students from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. The median income in Texas is $76,727, while the median income in Winnsboro is $44,325. Therefore, approximately 56% of our students qualify for free and reduced meals.

WISD fosters a community of life-long learners by providing an environment that builds self-worth, integrity, and respect for others while striving for academic and social excellence. The WISD faculty and staff strive to educate the "whole" child. We believe in providing students with the academic, communication, and conflict resolution skills necessary to succeed academically while also developing strong interpersonal relationships.
