Message from the Superintendent

We are excited to become a District Partner with DonorsChoose. Our teachers know our students’ unique needs better than anyone. This program empowers teachers by providing them the necessary resources to tailor their classroom to their students, while also giving them an opportunity to strengthen relationships within the community.

About Wilson Public School

Wilson Public School is a rural district that serves 436 students, preschool through twelfth grade. We are a Title I district with a 67% free and reduced lunch rate. Our staff is comprised of 35 certified and 15 non-certified personnel. Thirty-seven percent of our certified personnel have a Master’s degree. We are a small town of 1,470 people, according to the US Census Bureau. Our town consists of the school, several family-owned businesses, one bank, and numerous churches. We have an active Chamber of Commerce that partners with the school on a regular basis. Our student population is predominantly white at 78%, with the other race being American Indian at 22% (Accreditation).

Wilson Public Schools' mission is to create a collaborative academic community in order to empower all students to meet high expectations and to believe in their own ability to achieve success. We strive to provide each student with the knowledge, skills, and attitude to become a productive citizen in a challenging, technological, and diverse world.
