  • Butcher Paper Activity Fun!

    Funded Nov 13, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donations to my classroom for butcher paper centers. One thing that I have noticed is that students are coming to kindergarten with fewer and fewer fine motor skills. The butcher paper activities provide them with opportunities to build not only their fine motor skills, but also hand- eye coordination.

The students get so excited for butcher paper activities and many of them state that they are their favorite center time activities. I have seen growth in both fine motor and hand eye coordination. I love that they are excited to work together on these tasks and are excited for learning!

Thank you so much for supporting me and my students. Kindergarten is the best!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Laue

  • Cake and Card Stock

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you so much for donating tempera cakes, card stock and paint brushes to my students. The day they arrived the students were SO excited! They asked if we could do an art project instead of free play time. They were elated to have new painting materials.

We have used the supplies for MANY projects already! We used them to make spring flowers, parrots, fall leaves and crows. The kids get so excited every time we use them. I get excited because the tempera cakes allows for us to do art projects that would not have previously been possible.

We will continue to use these supplies and are so thankful for your generous donation to our classroom. Without your kindness, kindergarten would be a little less fun!”

  • Smart Start with Art

    Funded May 7, 2024

Thank you so much for donating to my project and believing in me and my students. When the boxes started arriving, the smiles and excitement on the kids' faces was priceless. They were so excited to have ALL the colors of paint to choose from again. They were especially excited for the new paint brushes that painted without bristles falling out of them as they painted.

Oil pastels are a new medium for my kinder friends and they did such a fantastic job using them appropriately and creatively. They were so excited. After we used them for one project, they asked if we could use them for another project. They loved doing the water color resist paintings with them. Their beautiful art with is making our hallways so bright and cheerful!”

  • Sensory and STEM!

    Funded Nov 8, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to my classroom. The excitement on my students faces when our packages arrived was so much fun to experience. They were so excited to dive in and play with our new sensory bin toys!

This year I have a handful of students who seek sensory input regularly. My sensory bin has been a life savor and your donations have made it so I can switch out my bin regularly. This keeps it interesting for the kiddos and prevents them from becoming bored with it.

Thank you so much for helping me give my students the best kindergarten experience ever!”

  • It's All Fun and Learning Games in K!

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to my classroom. My students are having a blast with our spinner and our plinko game. They light up with excitement when they come into the classroom and see them set up for a class game or centers.

We have used them to practice our letters. The students dropped a puck and whatever color it landed on, they took a letter that color out of the magnetic letter bin and said the letter and sound.

We have used the spinner for math. The students all got a number card and then they danced around the room. When the music stopped they paired up. We spun the wheel, if it landed on more, the person who had the higher card won and if it landed on less, the person with the lower card won.

Thank you so much for donating to our classroom and making these fun learning experiences possible!”

  • Paint Your World Kindergarten Style

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

From the bottom of my heart I would like to thank you for donating to my classroom, believing in my project and trusting me to see the project through to my classroom. The pure joy on my faces of my students when they saw the boxes delivered to my classroom was priceless. They were SO excited to have painting supplies to be able to get creative in our own classroom instead of just once a week at art. They helped me unbox and put our new supplies in their home in our classroom.

After putting everything away we worked together to come up with some rules for painting. We want to be able to paint, but we want our supplies to last a long time. They decided that the three most important rules should be to treat the supplies gently, to make sure to only paint on paper and to never ever put paint on our friends. They have been so responsible following those three rules.

We quickly got busy painting various different things. It has been so much fun watching their creativity flow! Thank you again for donating to my classroom and giving my students the joy of creativity in the classroom.”

  • Learning Through Sensory Exploration

    Funded May 3, 2022

It has been a blast giving my students the opportunity to learn through sensory play this school year, thanks to your generous donations. The light table has been a HUGE hit and having them play and learn with the translucent letters has been a favorite activity so far this school year. It has also been a lot of fun to watch them build with the translucent builders on the light table. They are playing and learning without even realizing! It is fun to hear them talk about what colors they are making as they build with different colors. I am looking forward to introducing the sand and rock table soon. I am sure they will be equally excited for that! Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity to my classroom.”

  • "Center"ed on Success

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

From the bottom of my heart I would like to thank you for donating to my classroom project and trusting me to bring this project to life. Over the past two years having students do centers in the classroom safely has been extremely challenging and time consuming. Where I used to need 4 or 5 center activities for my entire class, I found myself needed 2 centers per student to effectively and safely allow them to play these learning games. With your donation I was able to purchase printable centers from teachers pay teachers that I was able to differentiate to meet the needs of all of my students. I was also able to purchase cardstock and lamination so these centers will last me for years.

The students were so excited to get to use the magnetic letters during centers as well. This is a favorite center of my students and now I can have over half of my class using magnetic letters at a time.

Again, thank you for helping me make learning fun and safe for my students. I am beyond grateful.”

  • COVID Safe Creating Kits

    Funded Dec 12, 2020

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for donating toys and stem materials for my students. This year has been a challenging year for my students. I believe that children learn through play and not having enough materials and games for them to safely play was weighing heavily on me this year. My students lit up with excitement when these materials got delivered and they look forward to play time every day.

The drilling kits have been a huge hit and are great for their fine motor skills. They also have really enjoyed the magnetic picture builders and the magnetic pattern blocks. Thank you for helping make kindergarten fun AND educational. I am beyond blessed.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Laue

In my classroom I believe in giving my students choices. One of the biggest choices I give my students is where they sit and what they will sit on in my room. Currently I have floor cushions, Hokki stools, and regular chairs available to my students. Flexible seating allows my students to be comfortable while learning. Gone are the days of sitting in a chair and working all day long. Classrooms that are student-centered are successful. By giving my students additional seating options, I am empowering them to choose the seating options that best helps them learn and best keeps them comfortable in the classroom. Yoga balls have been a favorite of my students in the past, but I always had trouble with them rolling away. The ball chair gives the students the ability to utilize the yoga ball, and the ball stays where it is intended to be. I also appreciate the flexibility of the ball chairs, as they could also be moved to our meeting space with ease. Flexible seating also teaches my students responsibility. In order to utilize the flexible seating, they have to learn the rules and respect them. Flexible seating, especially the yoga ball chairs, require a lot of responsibility as they are fragile and misuse could result in broken chairs or, even worse, hurt children. By donating to my project you are empowering my students to learn responsibility and are empowering them to take control of their own learning environment.
