    Funded Aug 23, 2018

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your generous support and share just how much your contribution has meant to my students and me. Thanks to your donation, we've been able to integrate new resources into our classroom, and it's already making a significant impact. The first time my students saw the new resources, their reactions were priceless! These resources have set the stage for an even more interactive and impactful learning experience, and I can't wait to see where we go next. Once again, thank you for your generosity and support. You've truly made a difference in my students' educational journey. We look forward to continuing this exciting work and sharing more progress with you in the future.”

    Funded Oct 17, 2024

There are not enough words to express my joy, gratitude, and thanks for your generous donations to my class project. My students and I are so very appreciative of your support for education and creative, hands-on techniques for learning. We are looking forward to receiving these materials as they will be a great tool as we continue to grow and learn in the classroom. We can't wait to share some pictures of us using our new mindful communities! Thank you again!”

  • Books and Cases

    Funded Dec 14, 2023

Thank you for your continued support of our classroom. We are thrilled to receive books that represent us in an effort to diversify our library. It's so important for our students to see themselves represented throughout literature and for the text they read to reflect similar stories to theirs. Making connections with text is the fist step to enjoying reading and I am thrilled that you help me make this possible.”

  • Headphones for Hearing

    Funded Nov 27, 2023

With your help we were able to add additional headphones to our media center. We use these headphones daily for iready and a plethora of other digital learning activities. Having hooks on the walls to house the headphones makes it easy for students to keep their area nice and neat, keep their devices charged and encourages them to be self directed and take charge of their learning.

As we all have preferences in learning styles, these headphones let my students know that you've invested in their learning and you believe in them while honoring their differences. We will forever be grateful. Thank you for your contribution to our classroom.”

  • Social Emotional Reading Wellness

    Funded Sep 8, 2023

Thanks to your contribution, my students have a warm and cozy literacy classroom. My 6th graders absolutely looooove my classroom and say it's has the most "vibes" and is "the most aesthetic room in the building." Even when some of my supervisors and colleagues enter the room the complement me on our learning environment and how inviting it is.

In my opinion the first step in being successful in school is to feel comfortable and to actually like the space. When you see people investing in you it makes you want to be great. My students know I care about our space and will continue to invest in them. They also know that I'm not alone because of people like you that has invested in them too.”

  • UnShelving Our Love for Reading

    Funded Sep 6, 2023

This project has helped my vision for out classroom library come true. Bookcases while they seem so minuscule, play a major roll in the overall look and feel of our classroom library. Brand new book shelves make the library bright, cozy and inviting for my students. Some days I'm on the brink of creating a log because almost everyone always wants to sit in the library even if it's on the carpet.

Without you this project would honestly still be a dream but with the help of donors like you what was once a dream has now become our reality. Thank you for believing in us and more importantly thank you for your donation.”

  • Harry Potter & the Students in the Classroom

    Funded May 9, 2023

Fantasy is always one of my favorite units to teach and with your help you have truly made our experience this year magical. Thanks to you we were able to fully immerse ourselves in Harry Potter by including things like a sorting hat and wand into our daily lessons. Not only did these additions help me facilitate the lessons and provided real world contexts to our fantasy situations but most importantly it made our lessons fun and engaging. Thank your for your contribution as these tools that seem so small has truly made a huge impact in our classroom.”

Thanks to you our children were able to create public service announcements, podcast, commercials and short films based on their informational based research topics. They reported their findings to their peers on topics like the pros and cons of gaming, the pros and cons of social media for teens, animals rights, body shaming, cyber bullying and a plethora of other topics they found important and relevant to them. You will always be a special part of our classroom for years to come and we are so grateful for your support.”

Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times, they choose a location in the classroom that works for them. Currently, my students are choosing to work in a variety of locations in our room such as at different tables, sitting under tables with clip boards or sitting or laying on the floor with a clip board. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given a choice in their seating. They almost always make good choices about where they sit, are more engaged and get more work completed than when they are just sitting at their desk. My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The wobble stools are adjustable and will allow students to sit at desk/higher tables but will still allow some movement. These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to get the wiggles out. They can also be used as an alternative chair if needed! The comfy floor seats and the beanbag chair will allow for additional comfortable floor seating options. They are lightweight and can be easily used in many areas of the classroom. I have seen how choice can positively affect my students work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more!
