  • Lovable Literature for Our Littlest Learners

    Funded Apr 23, 2025

Thank you so much for your generous donations to this project! Books are the most beloved thing in my classroom and I am thrilled to have some new titles for my students to read. There is something so magical about opening up a new book, experiencing reading with friends, connecting to the characters and enjoying reading them over and over again. You have given us this gift and we are incredibly grateful!”

  • Wishing Upon a Shooting Star for TpT Gift Cards!

    Funded Feb 12, 2025

Thank you for bringing this project to life! My students are incredibly fortunate to now have access to amazing teacher created materials for all subjects, learning levels, interests, and a variety of fun projects through Teachers Pay Teachers. Since we received the gift cards we have already purchased some amazing curriculum materials that have livened our classroom and reignited our excitement for learning. This week we have been gearing up for our state testing which starts next week. This can be a stressful time but finding fun and engaging resources to make reviewing both fun and meaningful has been a game changer. In the spirit of celebration, we've used some awesome St. Patrick's Day themed review resources. We've been able to practice our multiplication and division, writing skills that will prep us for the essays we need to write, and all the things grammar and phonics. We've really only touched the surface of possibilities with these resources and we can't wait for more learning that lies ahead. Thank you for being an amazing supporter!”

  • Big Little Feelings: a Social Emotional Collection

    Funded Nov 18, 2024

We are so grateful to have had this project funded at the time that we did. This school year has been filled with unique challenges in regards to the social emotional needs of our students due to the influx of new students from several different countries. While the transition to a new community and school may be challenging for all children, the effect on our newcomer students has been even greater due to the circumstances that brought them here. The students I have used this social emotional collection with have faced incredibly scary, dangerous and heartbreaking circumstances in their transition to the Unites States. Many of these students left to seek asylum and refuge while leaving some or all of their family members behind. This social emotional collection of resources from Lakeshore Learning has been tremendously helpful to help my students open up and begin processing their complex feelings and emotions. It has been the launching pad of many important conversations I've had with my students and these shared experiences have help them build relationships with each other. Although this is only the beginning I have already noticed changes in my students and I look forward to the ongoing work we can do as we continue to use these resources. Thank you for making this possible!”

  • Fe, Fi, Fo, Fum: Fun Foundational Phonics for Everyone!

    Funded Nov 18, 2024

Thank you for your incredible support to bring this project to life! This phonics project has provided us with amazing, high quality, and open ended phonics resources from Lakeshore Learning that can be used across many different grade levels to meet students particular needs. I have been utilized these specifically with 3rd grade students who are newcomers to the United States within the past 2 years. While some of my students have received a formal education in their native country, most of them have not. This is where these resources have been extremely valuable to aid in the development of their phonics skills as well as English language acquisition. I have been able to use these resources in many different ways to not only target academic content skills but also to strengthen their language acquisition in the 4 domains of language- listening, speaking, reading and writing. I have seen a substantial improvement in their language skills and even more importantly in their willingness and confidence to learn and practice English. These products will continue to be utilized to grow my students learning for years to come. Thank you for your generous donation that made this all possible!”

  • We Are Needing Books for Reading, Pretty, Pretty, Please!

    Funded Dec 5, 2023

Thank you for your generous donations to my project! We are beyond thrilled to receive these amazing new books to add to our classroom library collection. As ELPT (English Language Program Teacher) at my school, I work with students from grades Pre-K to 8. This project contains a variety of books that meet the interests and needs of students from all grade levels. Our students have already jumped in and started reading these books and have been very excited to discover some new favorite titles. This was all made possible with your help. Thank you for seeing the value in our project and investing in our library that will be enjoyed by many students for years to come!”

  • English Language Learners (ELLs) Excel With Language Learning

    Funded Sep 11, 2023

Thank you again for your generous donations to my project for ELLs. We have been busy at work for the last few months using these resources to support our students who are new to the country. This school year we have seen a rapid influx of newcomer students who are beginning at our school with no English language background whatsoever. We have students coming in all grades ranging from Pre-K to 8th grade. Many of these students are coming with no former schooling experience in their native countries. Since August, we have received 35 new students on top of 31 students who arrived to the United States last school year. With a total of 66 newcomer and counting, these materials have been extremely helpful in trying to meet their unique learning need and provide them with effective English language instruction. With the nature of these resources being able to be used over and over again they are the gift that keeps on giving! Please know your donation is helping make a profound impact on the lives of these students as they adjust to life and school here in the United States. A million thank you's!”
