  • We Want to Learn How to Deal With Stress!(Part 2)

    I wish I was able to capture on video the overwhelming emotion many of my students had when receiving these new books. I'm struggling to find the right words to describe how much of a joy it was to was to watch them pick up each book, flip through them, and pass them around to each other. "Did you see this one?!" "Look at this one!" "Oh! I'm definitely taking this one with me!"

    For my students, books are an escape to a world outside of the walls in which they are confined. They are a way to educate themselves, to better themselves. They allow them to learn how to deal with trauma and work on building healthier coping skills. Books provide them laughter, motivate them to do better. These books are more than just books. Please know your support is more than just monetary, you are truly helping to positively impact some of the kids who need it the most.”
