Sharpening Our Way To Creativity!
Funded May 24, 2019First I would like to say thank you again for donating to my project, "Sharpening Our Way To Creativity!" We are so thankful that you chose our project to come to life.
As a teacher, the construction paper organizer has been fantastic! It helps keep our supplies organized and gives students additional responsibility. Now I am able to have my students have leadership roles to get the paper for their tables, which they are loving!
The sharpeners have also been fantastic! I no longer have to sharpen pencils for each student and instead have them sharpening their own, which has been great for our classroom. We are thrilled to have fun, new materials in our classroom!”

Watercolor Masterpieces
Funded Aug 1, 2019Thank you so much for donating to my project, "Watercolor Masterpieces!" We are so thankful that you chose our project to receive additional funding for the school year.
Having watercolor paper in my classroom has been fantastic. The classes that are currently using it can even tell what a difference it makes. Their projects are rich in color and have an artist-like quality. They look incredible! It also has been such a help in teaching watercolor techniques because the paper isn't tearing.
We have also appreciated the yellow watercolor refills. Right now my first grade students are painting self-portraits wearing different hats, and the yellow has been an important color for this! When painting suns, crowns, and other traditionally yellow items they have been happy to have yellow as an option. Thank you again for your help in making this project a reality!”

Mixed-Media Art Supplies!
Funded Nov 27, 2018Thank you so much for donating to my project, "Mixed-Media Art Supplies" this fall! It has been so helpful to grow my art program and provide my classes with a variety of new materials they would not have been able to use without your continued support.
This year I have been trying to give my classes more choices in the room to explore and try new materials. When I introduced my classes to the new materials you provided they were so excited to use them! We created monsters out of felt and each student was allowed to choose any color and design that they wanted. It was amazing to see how engaged they were watch their creative juices flow.
This project would not have been possible without you! Thank you so much for choosing my classroom to support this year. We are so thankful for you.”

Funded May 23, 2018Thank you so much for your generous donations to my project, "Inspiring Young Artists!" All of the art supplies from this project have made such a difference in the art projects I am now able to teach my classes. I have included pictures of students who used the watercolor paints that were available because of this project. They loved them! My 4th grade students were so excited to use them and learn about Dr. Seuss as both an artist and illustrator for their truffula tree project. I am also very excited to introduce the other materials to my classes throughout the school year. We are so grateful for your donations to continue to make our projects unique and special.”

Funded Dec 4, 2017Thank you so much for donating to my project, "STEAM Paper Sculptures" through Donors Choose! The project turned out fabulous and my students loved learning about Alexander Calder and his standing mobile sculptures. One of the challenges with this STEM related art project was that students had to figure out how to get their sculptures to stand up and become three-dimensional. It was so fun as a teacher to be able to watch them collaborate with their peers on this challenge of getting all sculptures to stand at the same time. It was a fantastic project and they absolutely loved this learning opportunity!”

Funded Nov 18, 2017I am so incredibly humbled by your willingness to donate to my project, "STEAM in the ART Room!" My students have been loving our new art supplies and stools so much, and their projects turned out amazing! Seeing them get so excited about creating their own composition based on Sonia Delaunay's artworj has been incredible. One student even commented on how she felt like a real artist!
We are also thankful for our basic supplies, such as disinfecting wipes and expo board cleaner. These small things keep our classroom clean and germ free, which isn't always easy in the flu season! I appreciate all you have done to help my classroom and hope you consider us again in the future.”

Funded Nov 14, 2017Thank you so much for donating to my project, "Painting with STEAM!" It has been so amazing to watch this project come to life with my students. They have been creating geometric works of art using tints and shades with acrylic paint. Their work is inspired by artist Sonia Delaunay and the compositions they are creating with shapes have turned out better than I had imagined.
We are also very happy to have new seating in the art room! The stools are an amazing addition and make the art room both look and feel like a real artist studio. All of the students comment on how much they love the way the art room looks now that we have gotten rid of our old chairs. Thank you again for your generosity in donating to my class, we are so appreciative you chose us.”

Funded Nov 1, 2017Thank you so much for donating to my project "Stools and Neon Paper!" My class is so excited to be able to use the new neon paper for their next project. They have been loving their new stools and all comment when they come into the art room how nice they look. I also love how they make the room look so much bigger! No longer do we have big bulky chairs that are made for adults, now we have stools fit for kids!
My class is also thrilled to have new paper to work with. Instead of basic colors, we now have neon! Our printmaking projects will look fantastic and will be sure to stand out at the art show. Thank you again for choosing my class to make your donation.”

Funded Aug 30, 2017Thank you so much to donating to my "Bristol Paper and New Stools" project! It has made such a difference in my classroom to provide students with proper art seating in my classroom. We have also been doing amazing things with our bristol paper! My students learned about artists Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera when creating their project. With the bristol paper we were able to make mixed media projects using tempera paint and clay. They loved being able to make their own relief sculptures! Thank you again for choosing my project and providing a better art experience for my students.”
