  • Series of Unfortunate Events: Book 5

    Funded May 6, 2025

These books were part of a going away gift to my class. They gasped when they saw- these were theirs to keep! Thank you so much for making this happen for these kiddos. We have fallen in love with this series and next year I plan to do it all over again.

This series has brought reading to life! Watching character development, exploring a variety of settings, and making "reading for pleasure" a reality is my goal. This book, and this author is the key!

The next steps will be to make sure I have the complete series so students won't have to guess- how do things end? We will also pair the books with the Netflix series and compare/contrast.

Thank you again for the support on this project. We had a blast reading these books and can't wait to continue next school year.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mac

  • Sunshine & Reading

    Funded May 6, 2025

Thank you for these resources. They help with the brutal changes in weather. Getting students outside more for learning and fun is possible now. Thank you for supporting our ideas and endeavors.

The next step will be to add more outside learning spaces where students can read, write, create and express themselves artistically, as well as create math and science stations- OUTSIDE.

We can't thank you enough for this investment into our classrooms. These umbrellas and bistro sets will allow us to set up poetry slams regardless of the weather. Thank you so much!”

  • Fourth Grade- Glow Out in Style

    Funded May 6, 2025

Our glow day review was a success!! We did silent reading, with black lights- highlighting key information. We used the glow-in-the-dark geometry art during math. Students built glow-in-dark structures with the playing cards and we used the tape for hopscotch and tic-tac-toe.

We couldn't have done it without your support. These resources are amazing and we will continue to invest them wisely.

Next steps include acquiring additional glowing games to motivate, encourage, and create a wonderful learning environment.

    Thank you again!”

  • Spring & String

    Funded May 6, 2025

We are so thankful for these resources! We are creating so many new pieces of art that students are keeping for souvenirs or gifting for Mother's Day! Claw Hammers, string, nails and more! We are creating so many core memories! String art in the spring is such a great way to improve fine motor skills while simultaneously bringing art and fun to the classroom.

The next step will be to delve into artists that create elaborate pieces. We want to create more designs and possibly allow students to freely create their own artistic expressions.

    Thank you again!”

  • Out of this World

    Funded Apr 28, 2025

Thank for the galaxy projector, the star stickers, and space related resources you provided to my space-thirsty students. They are imagining themselves as astronauts every day. We have studied nebulas, constellations, black holes, and the planets. We will use this unit to springboard into a solar energy unit- focusing on the sun and renewable energy.

Seeing these students learn new vocabulary, work on literacy skills and integrating math and science has been wonderful! We can't wait to take it to the next level. The next steps for this group will be a project involving telescopes for an evening science night.

Thank you again for the support!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mac

I work in a Title 1, fully inclusive charter school. Our school works with about 450 students in pre-K thru 5th grade. I have taught 3-5th grade over the past few years and my aim is to close the gaps with as much creativity as possible! I have noticed that movement in my classroom excites and engages them so I am looking to increase the amount of movement in the classroom and integrating it into my center-based teaching.
