Hands, Hands, Fingers, Drums!
Funded Aug 25, 2022Thank you so much for your support of our music classroom. I am so extremely grateful for your donations to get these drums into the hands of my students!
Having a variety of sizes of hand drums will not only allow my students to play together but also help them understand better the science of sound. The bigger the instrument, the lower the sound. The smaller the instrument, the higher the sound. This is easily demonstrated with hand drums.
Thank you SO much!”

We Love to Make Music!
Funded Sep 19, 2021Thank you SO much for the wide variety of instruments that we added to our music classroom thanks to this project!! The students have really enjoyed playing the cabasa, wrist bells, cowbells, and woodblocks!! We have used the constantly since they arrived in our classroom!
A huge fan favorite are the cabasa! The students absolutely LOVE making music with the cabasa and are intrigued with them! Anytime we do a piece where they get to choose an instrument, they always vote for the cabasa!! Of course, the cowbells are favorites as well! Who doesn't love a good cowbell?
The blocks and wrist bells are amazing! We finally have a class set of bells so ALL of my students get to use them together - and use them we do! We love bells in Kindergarten especially! They love to play them to a wide range of activities that we do!
Thank you SO much for everything you do to support music in our schools!”

We Love to Drum It, Drum It!
Funded Aug 12, 2021Thank you SO much for your generosity in getting us a beautiful djembe and stand! With this donation, we now have enough drums for an entire class to play together! We are so blessed and so lucky that we now have a class set of drums to use for our music classes! Grades K-6 LOVE to drum!
We were using these drums in a drum circle in 4th grade last month and we had several people stop by saying they could hear the students in the hallway and absolutely LOVED what they were hearing! This would not be possible without your generous donations!
Thank you so much for the beautiful support of our classroom and in providing instruments to all students. Music education is so important for our students. It teaches creativity and allows the students to work together to make a beautiful product!
Thank you so much!”

Funded Apr 28, 2021Thank you SO much for your generous donation to our music classroom! We are truly blessed to receive so many new instruments for our students to play and enjoy! They have already been a huge hit this school year!
The addition of the guiro blocks, rain stick, egg shakers, woodblock, and more have really gone a long way in our room! The kids especially love the rain stick and the new pastel colored egg shakers. We had some egg shakers - not enough for a class set. To add 12 more egg shakers means that all 18 of my primary students in each class can play together! They absolutely love making music together rather than waiting their turn in multiple groups!
We are so appreciate of your support! Music education is so important for our students. It gets them to think creatively, gives them an outlet to express themselves, and allows them to be themselves! Thank you SO much!”

Game Planning for Success in Music Class!
Funded Mar 31, 2021Thank you SO much for your generous support of our music classroom! The GAMEPLAN 1st grade curriculum book is such a wonderful resource to have in our music room! To be able to provide some fresh and exciting lessons for my students is a blessing!
I love to be able to provide many musical opportunities for my students. I love to be able to provide fun and engaging lessons as well! This book is FULL of fun and exciting lessons and music for the students to learn and perform. There is singing, movement, story-telling, instrument-playing, music learning, and so much more!
Thank you so much for helping me provide this fun lessons for my students! We have already used several of them this year! They were a big hit! The lessons were greeted with smiles and giggles and music!”

Funded Apr 13, 2021Thank you SO much for the music stand cart for our classroom! I put this together right before I got out of school for the summer! The music stands, normally in one area of my classroom, had been scattered around the room all year due to needing room for COVID protocol spacing. This truly helped to consolidate the stands into 1 place!
As we go back to school in a couple of weeks, my room will be set up more traditionally - how the students were used to it before COVID protocols were enacted last school year. Even though we will be going back to our traditional set-up, I can't wait to have this cart and use it all year for our music stands! It will make storing them, keeping them organized, and transporting them around campus SO much easier!
While before, the stands may have taken up 20 feet of space, they are now packed down into half that amount! This cart is truly a space saver! It also has wheels which makes it so much easier to transport the stands! Before, we would have multiple students carrying multiple stands making multiple trips to bring the stands to the stage or outside for performances. Now, I can have 1 student push the cart and set them up!
Thank you SO much for investing in my music classroom! Thank you so much for supporting music education! And thank you SO much for supporting my students!”

Joia Tubes for Joyous Faces!
Funded Mar 27, 2021Thank you SO much for the JOYOUS Joia Tubes! These tubes are SO much fun to play and I can't wait for EVERY child to get to experience them in my classroom! The students that have played them so far have absolutely loved the satisfying "smack" of the "ping-pong paddles" (as they like to call them!)
It is just a fun way to play a melody on an instrument that they are unfamiliar with. Despite being unfamiliar, they are similar enough to the xylophones we have in our classroom so they students have had no problems adjusting to the new technique! We utilize them in any Orff lesson that requires xylophones, metallophones, or glockenspiels. Since this is a melodic instrument like the Orff instruments, this instrument lends itself very well to those lesson plans.
Thank you so much for supporting music education at my school! My students absolutely love playing new instruments and this is not one they have seen before! So they are in love! Thank you for your generous donation!”

Funded Oct 26, 2020Thank you SO much for your generous donations for this project! While I was SUPER excited to get a basket of vegetable and fruit shakers, unfortunately they have been on back order since this project got funded! I wanted to wait until the materials were available again, however the back order date keeps getting pushed back!
Instead, Donorschoose helped me selected replacement items! I got a few vegetable and fruit shakers - an extra pineapple, 2 extra apple shakers, an extra banana shaker, and extra orange shaker, and an extra lemon shaker! But, they also helped me select a few more non-pitched percussion instruments to add to our classroom as well!
Thanks to YOU, we received a BEAUTIFUL rain stick that can be used in both the classroom AND performances! It lasts such a long time and is so amazing! We received a couple of wood blocks, two-tone blocks, cowbells, frog rasps, and extra mallets as well!
Even though the basket of shakers was not available, I am TRULY excited for the materials we received from this project! These are all instruments that have already gotten a LOT of love from my students (even though we actually only received them earlier this week!) Kindergarten LOVED the additional blocks! 6th grade enjoyed adding the rainstick to a piece we've been working on this week! And 2nd grade has enjoyed the cowbells for playing during "Click, Clack Moo!"
Thank you again so much for your support of our music program! We couldn't do this without you! We love making music here and I know my kiddos appreciate your generosity!”

Funded Dec 23, 2020Thank you SO much for the AMAZING resources that we received from this project! 7 different types of musical BINGO is a music teacher's dream! These are SO great for reviewing concepts that the students are learning in class! From Rhythms to Melodies to Styles to Instruments...this will have us covered for an entire year's worth of curriculum!
We've been learning about the instruments of the orchestra this month! The instrument BINGO has been the perfect review game for them after they learned about the 4 different families! The students left my room today stating, "That was SO Much fun!"
These truly do make a difference in my classroom! While we won't use them daily, they are so fun for the kiddos. They are reviewing and learning without even realizing it! To them, it's just play! And aren't those the best kinds of lessons?
Thank you again SO much for your support of our music program! And for your support of my students' learning! They truly appreciate all the support in their musical journey!”

Lollipop, Lollipop, Oh Lol-Li, Lol-Li, Lol-Li...LolliPOP!
Funded Dec 1, 2020Thank you SO SO SO SO much for these lollipop drums! They have already gotten SO much use in my classroom! The kids saw all the medium and big lollipops and got so excited! I often have my classes requesting to play them!
It is so nice to be able to have enough lollipop drums for my entire class! During this pandemic, we can't share instruments during a class period. Instead, we have to sanitize them between classes OR at the end of the school day (after they sit in a basket for the rest of the day). Unfortunately, that means not being able to share instruments. Having enough instruments for the entire class is so nice! The students appreciate when they get to all have a turn!
In addition, I can't wait to teach the science of sound using these lollipop drums! The different sizes create different sounds: low, medium, and high. It is so nice for a student to SEE an instrument in person that can demonstrate this! These lollipop drums are perfect!
Thank you SO much for your support of our music program! My students are truly grateful! I love seeing their smiles!”
