Rollings Middle School of the Arts is an arts magnet school serving grades 6 - 8. Students are selected through an audition process. Our students represent the diversity of our district, a range of interests, and varied abilities with media and techniques. Students spend 50 minutes in our art studio each day. The curriculum is based on state and national visual standards and media arts standards. In all grade levels, studio assignments include drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and media arts. There is a media focus for each grade level: 6th grade instruction emphasizes painting; the 7th grade curriculum features three dimensional work; the 8th grade curriculum allows for more independent work and features printmaking and mixed media. Our students are excited to learn and grow as artists. I work to provide challenging and engaging opportunities that are standards based. Thank you for your consideration.
