This classroom project was brought to life by LOFT.Picasso Tiles for Builders
Funded Dec 14, 2016Dear Mr Razewski,
Thank you so much for thinking of us when using your JetBlue Donation Gift Card. I had updated the group with each email that they were shipped, or on their way.. so the delivery date was anticipated. So far the students are beyond overwhelmed by the new addition to the room. Chango has been a classroom shared by 4 different art teachers for about 5 years now. We all travel to this space, and lack a positive investment to the environment beyond our art lessons. It just becomes too expensive to invest in two classrooms. This has already sparked so many situations of cooperation, conflict resolution and bonding. ( My 5th grade class are working on them right now) and I am seeing conversations happening at my rug that would have never taken place with students sitting in their chairs. You may not believe it but I encourage the friendly conflicts are created by playing with the building tools. This generation of students need to practicing being more interactive rather than sitting behind a screen. These tiles will be used on a daily basis for students that are finished with their work and would rather build than do "free draw".
Thank you again for this addition. We are so very grateful for your donation to our school.
Sincerely,
Rebecca Plouff”
