  • Helping Children With Special Needs Become Independent Communicators Through Technology.

    Funded Nov 2, 2019

I wish words could express how TRULY GRATEFUL not only I am for your generous donation , but how these iPads will mean so much to my students as well. You have generous hearts that help make my job that much easier. My students love the visuals that the iPads give and I am sincerely thankful to you for your donation.”

    With gratitude,

  • Special Technology for Special Kids

    Funded May 31, 2012

I do not know where to begin to thank you ladies for your generosity. My students and I, as well as our school, still have classes during the summer and our Ipad arrived in June just before our summer classes began. I was able to download programs so that my students were able to start using the Ipad this summer.

I have been enjoying searching and downloading programs that I thought my students would enjoy. And you know what, they are really enjoying the sounds and pictures of the programs that are on our Ipad. We have Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy activities that are weekly themed and I have been able to download music and communication items to our Ipad to go along with these themes.

My students have been able to engage in technology that otherwise is difficult due to key board activation. My students are able to use a light touch on the screen and communicate. This has been

    amazing.

You ladies have brought so much joy and happiness to our classroom. You are remembered daily when we use the Ipad. I cannot express our gratitude enough. Thank you for touching the lives of kids with severe impairments and those who love and work with them. ”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Keur

My students are eager learners. They are also kiddos who have severe multiple impairments such as cognitive, physical limitations, visually impaired (blind), hearing impaired, medical fragile as young as 3 years old. I have the absolute pleasure of watching these kiddos who have been dealt with these struggles fight hard to accomplish such little things such as rolling over, holding his/her head up to being able to reach out and activate different technologies that help increase their education. To watch their faces light up when he/she realizes they just did something successful is priceless. Their smile is HUGE!!! The use of iPads allows my students to be active learners right from their wheelchairs as I teach on a Promethean White Board.
