  • Serenity Now- Cell Phone Free Classroom

    Funded Dec 5, 2024

Imagine students without phones? They are not hunched over? No gazed over eyes? Its true! Thanks to your generosity we have been able to enforce our Cell Phone policy this year with consistency and great success. Teachers are saying students are more engaged, they are getting more work done and students are talking with each other!

Thank you for supporting public education and our public schools. Your support is instrumental in helping create a warm and rigorous environment in which all students can learn.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Taylor

  • A Little Encouragement Goes a Long Way

    Funded Aug 12, 2024

Thank you for helping me get numerous enamel pins to use as a way to show gratitude and appreciation. Over the summer, I worked at our local professional baseball team's park and enamel pins were a big deal! Staff loved getting them for special events or recognition and then putting them on their lanyards. I hear its a thing at Disneyland too.

My team has been using these to acknowledge appreciation of team members and for students achievement. It has been fun to pick the pin that matches the appreciation, share it and explain why. Students and staff have enjoyed the ritual and showing them off.

Thank you for the care in making sure all feel appreciated.”

    Funded Jun 6, 2024

Thank you for supporting my curricular efforts in donating to my project. While I make all my unit plans it is helpful to have reading documents ready. It saves time so I can focus on planning and grading .

I appreciate your support and thoughtfulness of public education. It means a lot to know there are people in my community that care about the teaching and learning of our students.

Some of the projects my team has been able to use has created wonderful collaboration time for our team so we can really ensure students have a rigorous education.”

  • Keep the Distractions Faraway

    Funded Jun 6, 2024

This year thanks to you, teachers on my team where able to start the school year without cellphones in the classroom. With the cellphone boxes, teachers were able to collect the cellphones and keep them safely in the boxes so they could learn distraction free.

The teachers on my team are so excited to start the year without all the arguments and distractions. Students are able to focus on learning, socialize with each other and engage in the content in meaningful ways.

Thank you so much for helping us implement the cellphone policy to increase student learning.”

  • High Quality Instruction

    Funded Aug 14, 2023

Thank you for supporting my curricular efforts in donating to my project. As the teacher librarian I work with all the teachers in the school on literacy projects, research units, and project based learning. Being able to access materials on Teachers Pay Teachers helps immensely because it saves time and offers inspiration.

I appreciate your support and thoughtfulness of public education. It means a lot to know there are people in my community that care about the teaching and learning of our students.”

  • EL Academy Maker Club

    Funded Dec 28, 2022

Thank you for donating to my middle school EL Academy Maker Club in the library. Because of you, students have made comics, had our own soapbox derby, created candles and soap, and played with circuits.

During this time together students practice their spoken English with native speakers to improve fluency and understanding. This has been a wonderful time in the library and model of how to use projects to promote literacy for all.

I really appreciate your dedication to public education and to school libraries.”

  • High Quality Instruction

    Funded Oct 26, 2022

Thank you for supporting public education. The library at my middle school is a hub of learning. If you were to come in at any point of the day you would see students working on projects with teachers, reading books, playing games, doing art and having fun in a safe space.

I really appreciate you supporting our students and school. The gift cards to Teacher Pay Teachers help with access to high quality curriculum made by other middle school teachers.

I have used the curriculum for the student council and for history projects and library activities.”

  • Beautiful Maker Room

    Funded Aug 27, 2022

Thank you so much for your generosity and thoughtfulness. I am always so filled with gratitude that people who never have met my students care so much.

With your kindness I was able to make areas for students to explore, craft, and play. Schools are still filling the aftershocks of 18 months of distance learning and it is important to have these spaces in which students can interact in safe and appropriate ways.

Each morning I feel a jolt of joy when I walk into the library and set up the beautiful space. It makes it even more special knowing it took a village to make it so great and that the community truly cares for public education.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Taylor

  • Successful Learns With All Abilities

    Funded Jan 21, 2022

Thank you for supporting ALL learners this year. This has been a very tough year and every student needs all the support they can get- even if that is flexible seating, fidgets to help with focus, learning tools and educational games. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness and compassion in these chaotic times. To know that there are people that care so much for public education and our students is the motivation to keep going in difficult times.

Again, thank you for supporting our public schools and our students.”

  • Big Feelings Books

    Funded Sep 21, 2021

Thank you for your generous donation of board books to my school library. I am first so happy and grateful to be back in school teaching students. And it has been a tough year. The students are happy to be back and have some big feelings about the last two years. It has been a difficult time for so many and in so many ways.

Children's books can really address the feelings of anxiety and fear in meaningful ways that allows for good discussions. In one class we read "Radiant Child" about Jean-Michel Basquiat. Most of the students have neurological differences and they really connected with the story: about not drawing straight lines or coloring in perfectly and sometimes feeling awkward and ugly yet being beautiful at the same time. The students drew portraits with Basquiat's signature crown. These pictures are all over the library and are just beautiful. We have read "Our Class is a Family" to establish a feeling of belonging. We have shared and talked about the numerous books on making mistakes because as we navigate this new world we are making plenty.

Thank you so much for generosity and getting more stories to more students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Taylor

The students are eager to read. Everyday I have a line of students waiting to use the library before school and during lunch. They want to read, check out books, learn more and to talk with others about what they have read. In the early fall we had a lunchtime book talk and it was standing room only. They are eager to read and start book clubs.
