  • Ink & Paper for a Thriving 4th Grade Classroom

    Funded Nov 7, 2008

I was printing out some maps, in color, for my students today. I was standing over my printer longing for more reams of paper and ink. And then, when I arrived at home yesterday, I found out that YOU had funded my proposal for more ink and paper. THANK YOU SO MUCH! This was phenomenal news since I've been supplementing my classroom printer out of my own pocket, which is getting to be very expensive. My students, and I, truly appreciate your generosity.

    Warm regards,

    Stace”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Shubitz

  • Small Spaces for Big Learning!

    Funded Jan 19, 2008

Our small group instruction room will be a warm, inviting, useful space thanks to your generous donation. Our students make such progress by working daily in small groups to practice their growing vocabulary, writing, and reading skills. I can't wait to see their faces as our space takes shape and they grab a book to snuggle in the bean bag chairs or sit on the rug to sing songs or practice their emerging literacy skills. Thank you so much”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Renoni

  • One Fish, Two Fish, Live Fish, New Fish!

    Funded Dec 11, 2007

I can't describe how pleased I am that our proposal was funded. Not only will our students be able to observe actual living fish and care for them, they will be able to more accurately observe the characteristics of living things in our science unit. It is a wonderful surprise! My heartfelt thanks”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Renoni

  • Wanted: A Kindergarten Dream House

    Funded Dec 9, 2007

How exciting that you have helped us secure our dream of a kindergarten wooden dollhouse for our classroom! I can't wait until my students see the wonderful gifts that you have provided. I know that they will be eager to try them out at our morning center time. I am incredibly grateful that you have taken an interest in my young students and are helping to support their social and oral language development. On behalf of all my students and their families I sincerely thank you! ”

  • Rock Out at Lunchtime!

    Funded Dec 5, 2007

Thank you so much for funding my proposal, "Rock Out at Lunchtime!" I know that my first graders will love the music that they get to hear at lunch. By funding this proposal, you are not only helping to expose my students to a diverse collection of music, but you will also help us to create a calm dining experience where students can eat nutritional food and practice good table manners. They will get to hear music from different time periods and places around the world. I am eager to be able to share this with my students.

Thank you again for your generosity. I greatly appreciate your commitment to my students.

    Sincerely,

    Sarah ”

  • Reading at Home that Works!

    Funded Nov 23, 2007

I am so excited to learn that you have made my dream of a classroom library that honors the language backgrounds of all of my kindergartners' families possible! I imagine that the bilingual and wordless books that you are donating will quickly become the most frequently checked out books in our library. Despite different home language backgrounds my students have already built a strong community and connections to each other this year. They hate to be told that they can't read the same great book that their friend just read. After all, good friends share great book titles. Now all of my students can do just that...recommend great books to each other. I can't wait to tell them the terrific news on Monday!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

  • Not Just Gym!

    Funded Nov 21, 2007

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I'm thrilled that you've chosen to be a sponsor for my proposal. I can't wait to start working on the Not Just Gym! kits, and to make a change in my student's lives; thank you for joining me in this quest. I really appreciate you kindness.

  • Wrap Up Their Writing with a Bow: Gifts from the Heart

    Funded Nov 14, 2007

A few days ago I was talking to my students and they were, again, lamenting, that they didn't know what they'd be giving their families for the holidays because they "didn't have any money" of their own. Well, you've solved our problems with your kind and generous donation. Thank you so much for your willingness to fund a writing gift center for my classroom. I am overwhelmed by your kindness and cannot wait to share the students' feedback with you once they start creating things for their families.

    Kindest regards,

    Stacey S

P.S. Best wishes for a fantastic holiday season”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Shubitz
