  • Learning Through Technology!

    Funded Aug 9, 2019

Thank you so much for donating to my classroom. I'm so happy and grateful to be able to get more technology for my room. This was a great surprise and I'm touched that someone would donate to my kids. Now they have more opportunities to embed technology in our everyday lessons and take ownership of their learning. My students get so excited about using their chrome books, they often say they feel as if they were working at an office. I just love seeing their enthusiasm as they walk into the classroom knowing they will be using their computers. Thank you once again for your interest in helping teachers and students succeed.”

  • Computer tables and Chromebooks, technology is our future!

    Funded Aug 9, 2019

Thank you for your generous donation to our classroom! The students are enjoying the new Chromebooks and flex seating tables in our classroom.

The extra Chromebooks in our classroom allow for more diverse instruction. Students who need extra help are provided interventions through computer based programs. Gifted students are also being challenged with research based projects and S.T.E.M activities. The students love having more computer based stations in the classroom.

Flexible seating is exactly what every classroom needs. Each student is different and has different needs. It really helps to have flex seating so students have a choice on where learning takes place. I would love to get some wobble chairs next for students who need to move around a bit, I am off to a great start! I thank you!

The students were so excited when they received the news of our project funding. Your organization is amazing and your donation is greatly appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Medrano

  • We Need Filament and a 3D Pen for Our Lab

    Funded Aug 9, 2019

The students were so happy to see that they had 3D pens and enough filament to actually create without limitations!

They have been busy creating wonderful things for Halloween and Christmas. They are very grateful for your generosity and know that they were chosen.

Thank you again for all you do and all you have done for our community because when someone like you donates to a small school like ours it shows the students and the community that they matter. We know you could have chosen any other school in any other state to gift what you did but you chose us! The RAMS and every student and teacher were touched when they heard that we were one of the schools funded.

From the bottom of our hearts we say, Thank You!

We hope you have a wonderful rest of the year! You deserve it!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stearns

  • Let's Get Jazzy!

    Funded Aug 2, 2019

We have been working for 3 weeks now and have had 2 productions so far in competitions and the students have done fantastic. Last year they competed in mismatched pants they had to buy on their own and they felt inadequate compared to the schools that have more money than we do.

This year they went with their heads held high and with beautiful brand new matching dance pants that made them look fantastic!

When students have self-confidence and they believe in themselves it is a beautiful thing to see and it just radiates from them. This year we will be competing with the best and we will hold our heads high and be proud of ourselves thanks to you!”

  • Science and Reading to Help Us Become Better Citizens!

    Funded Aug 9, 2019

The technology tablets has impacted our classroom greatly. We are able to incorporate technology into the math lessons and the students can explore concepts in new and fun ways.

The students are using the tablets for applications such as Nearpod which allows the students to discover content at a self pace. Additionally the students are able to answer questions without any fear of sounding as though they don't understand because their responses are not labeled with their name to the class. Only the teacher can see who the student's response belongs too.

Finally the novels help my students learn and see new places through the written word.”

  • Flexible Learning in 2nd Grade

    Funded Aug 9, 2019

The students were so excited when we received our backpack cart and balance ball seats. They wanted to help me assemble the backpack cart so we could start using it.

Once the balance ball seats were inflated they wanted to use them right away.

The students will be taking turns using the balance balls when we are doing centers or silent reading. The backpack cart is being used to help store the backpacks out of the way since we have very little storage in our classroom sine we are in a portable at our school.

For now we are just trying to get back into the routines of school and the classroom since we just started school a few weeks ago.

Thank you again for funding my project and helping get much needed materials for my class.”

  • Supplies for Firsties

    Funded Aug 4, 2019

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom! We have been using our new supplies for numerous activities. The play doh is being used to strengthen our finger muscles for the fine motor skills required for writing. The folders and bags are protecting our work. The small prizes for reading incentives are encouraging daily reading habits at home, and the stamps are encouraging good work habits. Additionally, the printer ink, cardstock, and laminating pouches are being used to create several activities to enhance our curriculum in all subject areas.

The constantly changing needs of my students drive my instruction and fuel the new activities they need to keep them engaged and involved in learning. Thank you so much for your support as I strive to create a positive learning experience for my students!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Olivas

  • Big Group Time!

    Funded Nov 3, 2018

I am very grateful for your generous donation. Because my students can enjoy having a comfortable space to read. The Grey rug my students received was an instant hit. We had started the school year with no rug and up until we got the rug, my students were reading in their seats.

When the rug arrived my students were cheering with joy. I had told them that we had gotten a rug funded which would be used for reading and other mini lessons. Students were happy to see the grey carpet and they use it on a daily basis. Having a comfortable space to read encourages them to read for longer periods of time.

Also teaching my mini- lessons in the rug feels more intimate. It's a perfect rug! My students truly enjoy spending time in the carpet area. They act as if it is a brand new toy . They used any excuse to work on it. I feel confident that the rug will be used all year long for reading activities and other centers. Once again thank you for believing in my project.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Cortez

  • Digital Art Project

    Funded Sep 28, 2018

Thank you so much for our generous gift. My students are so surprised that someone who has never meet our class would be so generous. Your gift had two parts; an art set and a flat bed scanner. My children loved the art kit and love working with it. I set up an art station for my small group rotation for reading/language arts. It has replaced the computer station has the most popular station in my room. Students in this station use art as a means to respond to what we are currently reading.

Valentina loved the art kit and talked the about the kit so much, her mother brought the same set for her for Christmas. (That's supposed to be a secret, Valentina doesn't know she is getting it.)

The flat bed scanner is being used to make a digital portifilo of student's work. A couple of my students, Orlando and Jerry, have taken over doing the scanning for me. Jerry is working on a comic book, that he wants to publish using the scanner in to convert the hand drawn pages into PDF form. Many of many students learned how to use the scanner to insert and images to word documents, e-mails, and our school web site.

Thank you once more for your kind and generous gifts.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Marshall
