Thank you so much for your generosity! These book sets have allowed my students to confidently read a book and discuss it with a group. I have been able to give several groups of readers a book that is not only at their reading level, but interest level as well.

I am using the books during my guided reading time and as a group literature circle. During guided time, all my kids have a book and I am able to coach them to becoming better readers. We decide on a stopping point for the day and a skill to practice, like making predictions, then they read and we discuss after. One group is particularly enjoying the book The Worst Witch. They chose it because they felt like it was an appropriate book for October and because it has been turned into a series on Netflix! I love that I have enough book sets to allow my kids to have a choice as to what to read too. When they choose the book themselves it gives them a better chance of actually learning from it and becoming more enthusiastic readers. My literature circle groups have been able to lead their own book discussions and also get a choice in books. I am particularly excited to move onto our nonfiction units because I got some great book choices from this project.

This project has been beyond beneficial for my students!

My kids are able to freely roam around the classroom and grab a clipboard to work independently, are able to keep track of their makeup work and redos with their pocket chart, and navigate the library with ease due to the genre stickers I made with the Avery labels -- and those are just to name a few.

With the resources that I was provided with, the students are able to get the best out of their classroom. Thanks to your donations, my classroom is organized and student-friendly so they can lead their learning.

Thank you again for your generous donation to our classroom. You will never know how much it means to me and to my students. They are loving having the yoga balls. The balls allow for the students to move and wiggle, without having to get up. This eliminates for distractions in the classroom and allows the students to stay concentrated for longer periods.

The students were beyond thrilled and overly excited when they first saw the yoga balls. They couldn't believe that they were actually going to get to sit on them. So many parents comment on how the students go home and RAVE about the balls. Parents, students, other teachers and administration all love the idea and concept of having yoga balls that replace chairs.

We use the balls during instruction time. We use the balls during centers. They're used all throughout the day. These balls will continue to be used throughout the years. Again, thank you so much for being generous and donating these yoga balls to our Kindergarten classroom.”

The ink cartridge donated to our classroom can be used in different ways besides its regular use. For example, later on when we study parts of a system in Science, the students can make a connection to see that we need the cartridge installed in order for the system to operate. It is also helping them in their computer skills by learning to type.

My students found it exciting because they were asking questions as to how to change color, how does it print without being connected to a cable or wire, so they began to ask questions.

They have warmed up to it because now they know that I can print other stuff for them and not have to walk across the school to get their printed papers.”

Thank you very much for your generous donation. The children have really loved using these new learning tools in our classroom. Our classroom has turned into a real game based learning environment. The children love to explore and learn so much with these learning tools, that now they never want to go home!! Thank you so much for your donations! With your help, I was able to acquire much needed fitness equipment in order to enhance my fitness based physical education program for my students. My students were so excited to see the brand new basketballs when I placed them out for recess. The first thing they asked was "How did you get us new basketballs?" I explained to them how donations were made in order for the P.E. program to receive the equipment but they were so interested to know who made a donation because they wanted them to know how grateful they were! They love playing basketball and everyday for recess my students rush out to make sure they get a basketball to play with. The new basketballs were a huge impact for them during their recess time!

The P.E. program on my campus is fitness based and I am constantly teaching my students different body weight exercises. Once a week, we have fitness stations set up and the students rotate to six different stations performing different exercises. Since funds are limited, a lot of the exercises are based on their body weight or used with some homemade equipment such as weighted water bottles to represent dumbbells or weighted milk jugs to represent a kettle bell. When we put out the resistant bands and step up boxes they were so excited that they started shouting even though they weren't sure how to use the equipment. After the coaches demonstrated how to properly use the equipment they couldn't wait to try it out and were so grateful to have new equipment for our fitness stations.

One of the best feelings in the world is seeing your students smile so big after they realize they have new equipment to use and learn about. My students love being fit and with the new equipment, the P.E. program has taken one huge step forward on continuing to be known as one of the Healthiest Schools in America. Thank you!”
