At Tandem, we believe in giving back. Every time you cycle, we'll donate directly to students in need. Listed below are all the projects we've supported. <p>Thank you for your help in bringing much-needed materials to students in need!
Thank you so much for donating to this project and to our class! When the boxes arrived at school, my class couldn't wait to see what was inside. I couldn't open them fast enough before the students started guessing which materials were inside. They asked how and why we received them, to which I took time to have a "teachable moment" all about donating and how it can be done in their community. It was so great to see all their smiling faces!
Because of these new materials, we can now begin implementing our new kindergarten curriculum successfully and efficiently. One of the biggest components of kindergarten is learning the alphabet and the correct formation. Because of these materials, my students are learning so much more than they have ever learned before. The lined white boards, erasers, and magnetic letters help my students properly write the letters and also help with spacing and sentence structure.
We are so fortunate to have been given this opportunity and can't wait to explore more ways to use all the materials each day.”
My students and I were thrilled to receive the stability balls that you so graciously donated to our classroom. The students were in awe when they walked into our classroom the first day and saw them at the table instead of chairs! They were very excited to practice sitting on them without falling off, and they quickly learned how to properly sit and read.
I've found that when many of the students are sitting on the balls and reading, they are more focused. Students have even told me, "I really love these balls because it helps me concentrate." Everyone needs to wiggle a little bit, and these alternative seats provide my students with the opportunity to move without being distracted or distracting others.
I'm very thankful to have these stability balls in my classroom. I have seen a great improvement in the students' focus and attention. I'm excited to complete their reading testing at the end of the year to see how many levels the students have gone up. I know that your donation has already made a big impact on them, and it will be a big factor in their success. Thanks again!”
