The San Ysidro School District (SYSD) serves a culturally vibrant community. SYSD enrolls 3,990 students, TK - 8th grade students, with nearly 22% of them experiencing unstable housing, as defined by McKinney-Vento guidelines, 76.8% are socioeconomically disadvantaged, and 53.6% are English learners. While Spanish is the predominant language among our English learners, over 18 other languages are spoken within our diverse school community.

The district comprises five elementary schools, two middle schools, and a preschool program. Our district is grateful to businesses and individuals who generously donate to our teachers, classrooms, and schools through the Donors Choose Program.
