The Arts Are Essential!

When I first noticed that someone out there somewhere in the world had spent their time and money to look at and give their hard earned funds to our school project I was blown away. This was our very first Donor's Choose project to post and I wasn't expecting much out of it, but we ended up with so much love that came our way from all over our own community and around the world. We were so overjoyed that someone cared enough about the arts and about us to contribute to our cause. I just wanted to say to you all a big Thank You so much for making this possible for all of my amazing little artists on campus.

The day the boxes arrived and the office staff brought them to our classroom we were in awe at it all. We took a break from our regularly scheduled project we were working on and began opening the boxes and putting the supplies on the shelves they belonged to. We were running dangerously low on paper in the art studio and one student said "Look, we have paper!" I looked around to smiles from everyone. It was great and we felt seen and heard through the use of this wonderful platform with real people that really care. So Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts both big and small.”
