District Partner
HeadsUp is the public education foundation for San Rafael City Schools (SRCS). Our mission is to bring critical enrichment and support programs to our schools, providing equitable opportunities for our students while building community district wide. We work closely with SRCS to support our shared values of Equity, Community and Joy. SRCS includes the San Rafael Elementary School District and the San Rafael High School District, with a total student population of more that 7,200. The two districts are governed by one school board and one district office administration. Students from transitional-kindergarten through high school at 11 schools represent the diverse, multicultural community that makes up San Rafael. SRCS is largely a low-to-moderate income school district with over 63% of our population on the free and reduced meal program. Funds raised by HeadsUp are used to fund enrichment such as music and art, college counseling consultants, and health & wellness programs. While educational enrichment is a primary focus, HeadsUp also plays a valued leadership role in bringing cohesion to our diverse our community.
