Message from the District

The Steelton-Highspire School District is an urban district located in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. The district serves approximately 1400 students located in the communities of Steelton and HIghspire.. The elementary school houses students from pre-kindergarten through 6th grade, while the Jr./Sr. High School houses students in grades 7-12. Our school population is diverse, and comprised of 52.5% Black, 27.4% Hispanic, 10.3% White, 9.5% Multi-Racial, .2% American Indian/Alaskan Native and .2% Asian students and approximately 63.6% of the student body is identified as economically disadvantaged.

Together, we work with members of the board, district staff and community to educate and develop the whole child to compete, produce, and lead in our ever changing society. Vision: Steelton-Highspire School District is transforming to excellence in all services and for all students.
