  • New Dry Erase Pockets!

    Funded Oct 7, 2024

My students have been using the dry erase pockets mostly during word work. They were using a laminated copy of lined paper, but they weren't erasing well. Once we slipped those laminated copies in the dry erase pockets, the students were amazed by how easy their writing would erase from the pockets! Their favorite thing is when I give them a few minutes to draw on them before or after a lesson.

Because they have colors on the sides, students automatically organize them by their colors when putting them away.

I hope to use these in more subjects and especially when students are on the rug since they are sturdy (not flexible).

Thank you for supporting our learning and classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Connie

  • Organized for School Year 2024-2025

    Funded Aug 15, 2024

Thank you, thank you, thank you

for helping my students with organization this semester.

Sixth grade is the first year of middle school in my district, and students go from having one or two teachers to having six different subjects with up to six different teachers. This is a huge adjustment and of course organization is something that students need help with and to learn.

Your donation of supplies of folders helped with this. Students keep their work in folders and there were not as many lost or misplaced assignments this year.

So, thank you again for helping sixth grades with organization of their work during their first semester of middle school.”

    With gratitude,

  • STEM Toys to Start the Day Right!

    Funded Aug 11, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous contributions to our classroom. My students were so excited to use the building toys for the first time, and we have special building play time several days a week. The whole class is engaged and interacting positively with each other while playing, and students are eager to show me their creations. It is a wonderful start to our school day.

These creative engineering toys are durable, fun for the kids, and help them use their imagination and problem-solving skills. I am so grateful that we have so many different styles of toy to serve all students in the class.

Your generosity has provided hours of positive experiences for my students. Thank you for helping them build and grow together.”

  • Building a New Transitional Kindergarten Class

    Funded Jul 17, 2024

I want to take a moment to extend my sincerest gratitude to you for your generous contribution to my classroom. Thanks to your support, my students now have access to learning materials that allow them to engage with the lessons in a way that is both meaningful and interactive. The activities you helped provide enable my students to see, touch, and experience the content, which is essential for reinforcing the lesson objectives and improving their understanding. This hands-on approach supports all learners, especially those who benefit from kinesthetic learning.

Your donation has made a profound difference in the classroom, and I am truly grateful for your kindness and commitment to education. To express my appreciation, I'm attaching some photos from our class, showing the students enjoying and benefiting from the materials you helped make possible.

Thank you once again for your generosity. Your support has not only made a tangible impact on my classroom but has also inspired my students to engage more deeply in their learning.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Benton

  • Check into Mr. Rosenberg’s 3rd Grade Chess Club!

    Funded Jun 17, 2024

The students in Room 127 LOVE challenges. One of the greatest joys for them and for me as their teacher is when we pull out our chess boards for competitions. With the support of our coach, Mr. Michael, we are learning about moves, castling, opening positions, forks, pins, and other techniques that I am not completely able to comprehend.

One of the highlights of this project has been the chess timers that you so kindly supported us in receiving. We are able to use these for our games, but they also come in handy during book conversations, science experiments, and other classroom endeavors.

I can not thank all of you enough for helping out a little third grade classroom in San Francisco.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Rosenberg

  • Happy Teacher = Happy Students

    Funded Sep 11, 2024

Thank you so much for the headphone class set. I recently got a new student who had arrived to the US just 2 days prior. Now he is in our classroom trying to make sense of what is going on and picking up simple language sentence frames. Your headphones allow me to assign meaningful learning activities to the rest of the class while I can have one on one time with this newcomer and start from the very beginning - letter sounds, school vocabulary and so on. I could not serve every student in my class without the help of the headphones. Students love the comfort of the over the ear fit and they can replay instructions or listen to reading passages while I'm teaching others.

We are also thrilled to help the environment by not making tons of paper copies. The plastic sleeves allow us to reuse templates like the hundred chart, number line or base 10 place mats over and over again. Dry erase markers work just as well as pencils and after every use, simply get erased and are ready for the next time.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Chapman

  • Help to Create Authentic Work

    Funded Oct 28, 2023

Thank you for your generous donation to help my students on their journey to academic excellence. The color printer has provided my students with the opportunity to see their work come to life from the notebook to a printed published piece of work. Then their work is displayed on the hallway bulletin boards for all the read.

With the direction that technology is headed our students need to learn to keep up. Therefore teaching them to type at an early age will only help them throughout their educational careers.

The color printing aspect is also beneficially because my students are also creating artwork online that we are also able to print out. We also take pictures that is part of our positive encouragement program where we celebrate students and personalized the reward.

The additional ink cartridges is also helpful because of the all the printing, financially it is now not taking a toll on my bank account to celebrate my students work.”

  • Just Gardenin'

    Funded Jun 30, 2024

Having the proper tools makes gardening less of an abstract and more of a rewarding chunk of hard work! Going from some old crusty shovels in an old crusty shed to varied tools that fit varied purposes makes maintaining and improving our garden an achievable goal.

Filling the fish pond is so much easier with the expandable hose (and the fish are very grateful), hand trowels make planting seedlings in the raised beds handleable, and overall having the right materials makes manual work ...work.

Students have expressed interest in helping in the garden for years and now we can actually make it productive! The sad, scraggly little tomato plant that's still putting in the effort to make some tiny, baby tomatoes will soon have some company.”

  • Robotics for Kindergarten? Oh Yes!

    Funded Oct 29, 2023

Your donation has enhanced my kindergartners' exposure and exploration of STEM activities. They made a volcano, mixed substances to make different colors, and built magnetic structures. They developed all of the characteristics that children should be able to formulate during a hands-on science experiment.

My school, which is comprised of mainly underrepresented children who do not have access to STEM materials, could use these resources to conduct valid science experiments that drew parent participation. Children and parents learned together, which makes for an ideal learning situation because your gift provided material for constructive conversation between parents, students, and myself.

I cannot thank you enough for this gift!”
