We use them during live math lessons as students build numbers alongside me, slide counters to model quantities, and show their thinking on screen. Having a concrete, visual tool helps bridge the gap between abstract numbers and real understanding—especially for young learners who are still developing number sense.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their excitement was immediate. They loved being able to physically move the magnets to \"build\" numbers instead of just talking about them. I saw students who were previously hesitant become more confident as they counted, compared numbers, and explained their thinking using the ten frames. These tools have helped students slow down, visualize quantities, and truly understand what numbers represent.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we will continue using the magnetic ten frames to support addition, subtraction, and problem-solving as the year progresses.
