For many of my ENL students, writing can be intimidating, but creating their own yearbooks gave them a fun, personal reason to write. They were excited to label photos, write captions, and include short messages and reflections in English. It was a great way to celebrate their progress and build confidence in their writing skills.\r\n\r\nThanks to the materials funded by all of you, I was able to turn what might have just been a regular end-of-year activity into something much more special. We are currently in the midst of our putting unit, and the students are absolutely loving the opportunity to learn and practice with real equipment. The students were able to practice their new skills while watching the professionals during The Masters tournament, which was very exciting to see the best in the world doing the same skills that the students were learning. Thanks to your donation, we'll soon be able to set up and play on our very own school mini golf course—a big highlight the kids are eagerly anticipating!\r\n\r\nFollowing our mini golf adventure, we'll be moving on to learning how to use irons and working on hitting the ball for distance. We are currently learning about plants and how they grow. We put soil and beans in our sensory bins so they children could explore the materials. We also put cups and large plastic tweezers in there so the children can practice their fine motor skills.\r\n\r\nLastly, our children use the drying rack everyday for their artwork!
