I mean, who doesn't love a great story read aloud. What I did not expect was how excited they would be to read them to the younger grades in our school.\r\n I asked them when we started reading them if any one would be interested in presenting them to the younger kids. Many hands immediately shot up. We first read \"They All Saw a Cat\" which was a great book to talk about perspective and point of view. My 5th grade student volunteer not only read the book, but she talked to the 1st graders about the different views in the story, making for an awesome lesson. She became a great little teacher in that moment. \r\nWe often forget the power of a picture book and also what our young people are capable of.
