This light table is part of our Science Center during choice center time each and every day. The children have been excited to chose this center and explore all the new materials for the light table. I have observed the children building towers with the 3D shapes, making patterns with colors and shapes, sorting objects into the sorting trays, and exploring how the shapes fit together. I overheard the children talking with each other about what they were building and what they wanted to try next. It has been exciting for me, as their teacher, to watch them have the freedom to explore the math concepts we are learning in this tangible way.\r\nWhen the light table and supplies all arrived, they were so excited. To be honest, most of them didn't know what a light table was.
