Message from the Superintendent

The Roosevelt School District is committed to supporting our teachers as they equip our South Phoenix children to thrive in high school and beyond. Through this partnership with DonorsChoose, educators are encouraged to develop projects to tailor their classrooms to their students. This collaboration enables the community to embody our mantra of “We Are/Somos Roosevelt” by coming together to directly contribute to the engaging lessons that enrich our students learning experience.

About Roosevelt School District No. 66

Roosevelt School District No. 66 was established in Phoenix, Arizona in 1912. The first RSD school was located south of the Phoenix City Center on the corner of what is now 7th Street and Southern. What began as a 15-pupil district has grown into a school district serving more than 8,000 students and 1,400 employees in 19 schools, an early childhood education center and a Neighborhood Technology Resource Center. The Roosevelt School District remains as the largest employer in south Phoenix.
