Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Due to the Coronavirus my 9th - 12th Early Childhood Education students are learning through Distance Learning. We are a Title I school with mostly low-income families. We are learning by doing zoom lessons and activities. My students are using the computers they had or the ones the school gave them. I was using my personal laptop to teach and it crashed. I am now using a small laptop the school gave me, but it has no sound. Therefore I can't do Zoom lessons or virtual field trips as I was doing.

It would be great to get a new computer that I could use now at home and next school year when we go back!

My Project

This computer will let me do Zoom lessons and virtual field trips again. I will be able to contact my students and engage them with exciting lessons again.

The kids love doing Zoom and getting out of the house by Virtual Field Trips!

Hopefully, we can start that again. They all like seeing each other and they show their projects over the computers. Zoom also helps with the students being engaged with their lessons and questions. It also makes it easier to communicate with the parents and showing them what to do.
