This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
First grade students are at the perfect age! They are inquisitive, eager, and enthusiastic learners. This grade experiences so much growth, especially in reading, writing, and math. They love coming to school, although unfortunately, we are learning remotely and there are so many distractions.
My students are so excited to "Zoom" with me every day.
They say good morning with huge smiles and an eagerness to learn. But many live in crowded houses or apartments with lots of background noise. Please help my students succeed this school year by giving them headphones with built in microphones. I want them to have the best year possible, despite the circumstances.
My Project
I have 24 adorable and curious 1st graders. They are learning virtually through Zoom every day for several hours.
My students try their best to pay attention, however many live in apartments or houses with large families.
Sometimes the background noise is so overwhelming that I have to mute everyone. Many of them become distracted by the tv, siblings, or other family members.
I want to give them the opportunity to cut out all the extra noise and concentrate on learning new things. I want them to feel like they're in the classroom with me and their classmates.
