My Students

These 1st grade students are excited to learn and they are positive about their learning. They ask really great questions and they have humble hearts. Unfortunately, they will be starting the school year in great need. They need to have access to the materials right away!

These students are from a low socio-economic status in South Los Angeles.

They are mostly from Latino families and I have a couple of African American students as well. Many students do not have parents at home to help them with online learning.

My Project

My students will be doing at home learning in the fall. I don't want them to fall behind, and I know these whiteboards and erasers will help keep my students actively participating and engaged.

We know that students learn best by actively engaging, and sometimes online platforms are not user friendly for young students.

They learn better by using hands on tools. Whiteboards give them confidence in their ability to write and engage in the lessons. These whiteboards are of better quality than a thin sheet of plastic and construction paper, which will be destroyed immediately. My low-income school cannot purchase whiteboards for every student. Please give my students access to these amazing tools for online learning!
