My Project

My students need a chance to become scientists by exploring prepared slides and different items using a microscope. We currently have a microscope in our classroom but it does not show slides or items up close. Each time my students use the current microscope they are unable to see things fully, yet they still express such wonder in what they do see. I want to give my students the chance to feel like real scientists and use a working microscope.

The microscope will help my students to see the world in a way that have yet to fully explore.

I can see so many opportunities for them, finding sticks, leaves, worms and so many things outside during walks to bring into our class to view!

Science is amazing! I want my students to build that foundation now in Pre-K and using a working microscope will give them that opportunity.
