My Project

We are a very small continuation high school. Our students have struggled academically in the past and we offer an important second chance at a high school diploma. We have only 50 students and 4 teachers on campus, with only 3 classrooms. Our students confront many social-emotional issues on a daily basis, and we have several specialized counselors that come into our campus.

These counselors often struggle to find a place to sit on our campus, especially when the conversations are around sensitive topics.

We have an old, small, garden space that has become overgrown. Students would like to bring the garden back to life, which would be an amazing project for them to undertake AND it would create a private space that our counselors could utilize when meeting with students. We are fortunate that the weather allows for this!

The items in our order include four chairs to sit on, a table, solar lights, seed packets and a few tools to begin the project of bringing our Zen Garden alive.
