My Project

My students love to spend lunchtime socializing and learning ways to express themselves. During these social emotional learning sessions, my students are always ready for a yummy treat after sharing their thoughts and supporting their peers. One of the greatest things to come from these sessions is when students know they can grab a snack to take on the go. Many students use this space to make friends, learn new skills and challenge themselves to cope with big emotions. Instead of candy we are working on sharing healthier yummy treat options.

Unfortunately, not all of my students' families have the resources to send in a snack.

As a community, we ensure that everyone has something to snack on.
