Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

So many of my students rely on snacks in our classroom and it goes a long way to get them in and keep them with us. We prioritize feeding our students but budget cuts have made it nearly impossible to fund our snack stash. We usually provide snacks at the start of class and during break times. While our whole school is known for sourcing food and snacks from neighborhood restaurants and companies, Donors Choose snacks have really elevated our students’ snack experience and allowed us to care for them in the ways they ask to be cared for.
