Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A color printer/scanner will enable my students to compete in various contests throughout New York City, the United States and even beyond. I am always looking for ways to show off my artists work.
Having a color/printer scanner will enable me to quickly get their work entered into contests and various competitions.
i won't have to wait until the main office opens, since I get to work early and like to use this quiet time to focus on seeking out competitions and contests to enter my students artwork. I will be able to provide quality entries in a timely fashion and not miss any deadlines.
I constantly have students in the Art Studio classroom working on their pieces and have become quite prolific at entering their work into citywide and statewide competitions, since they are such a talented bunch.
When students know their work is being considered for entry into a contest, it gives them a boost of confidence and motivates them to try new art mediums, styles and tools. I want them to continue to grow and even consider a career in the visual arts.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
