My Students

The area athletes are hard-working and dedicated to improving their skills. This being a small school district, we have a great pipeline of athletes from Pre-K to 12th. They sometimes lack the necessary equipment to be successful on the field. Usually, the high school hands down equipment but mainly, we rely on donors to fund our community sports programs. I would like to provide equipment to our area athletes in order to start the youth season off right.

First and foremost, to be ready to play, athletes need the necessary and proper equipment.

The area is Title I and rural. We have one elementary, one junior high, and one high school.

My Project

The sports equipment that I am requesting will help students from Pre-K to 12th grade be successful in baseball and softball. The sport can tend to be expensive to participate in; that shouldn't deter a young athlete from participating.

The pitching machine, balls, bags, and other gear mean that more athletes can play without having to spend money that they don't have.

Sports help children become more confident and also help to develop leaders. When all an athlete has to do is to show up with a glove, chances are that that athlete will keep returning and not have to feel the embarrassment of not having his or her equipment.
