Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach English as a New Language, and my students were interested in starting a soccer club in my high school. To get started with this wonderful project, I decided to volunteer to coach the team, and we ended up with 40 students signing up!

Our goal is to start the soccer club with a minimum of equipment and practice in our school gymnasium.

Eventually, after running the soccer program during the spring, we would like to develop a team that would compete with other high schools teams which would lead us to enrolling to PSAL.

We need your help to get this project up and running. This would allow us to motivate our students with academics, attendance, and their overall well-being.

We are extremely grateful to getting support with this ambitious project that will benefit our wonderful students!
