Young Filmmakers Can Make a Difference

My Project

This project will benefit my K-5 students in Technology class. My students will be learning how to record videos using their iPads and edit their videos. I have students with special needs who have a hard time holding their iPad so iPad stands will be extremely helpful for them. It will also help ALL students hold their iPads up while filming at eye level. This is my first year having my elementary classroom and I don't have a big whiteboard in the classroom. They understand better when writing/drawing on the whiteboard. The Pop-Up Pods will be good for private recordings so students can distract each other's videos. I picked the color green so they can add pictures to their background while editing their videos. Most of my students are Deaf/Hard of hearing and we use ASL (American Sign Language). As a deaf K-12 Technology teacher, my goal is to make more ASL videos with my students and help build their confidence in themselves!
