Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a delightful bunch. They come every day, ready to learn with a smile. I teach English learners in a high-poverty school where all of the students receive free breakfast and lunch.

My students are eager learners who know that hard work and perseverance will help them attain their goals for success.

As a teacher, I do my best to provide differentiated instruction to meet my students' everyday needs. I believe every student should get every opportunity to learn.

My Project

My students are currently in need of composition notebooks to use for their writing center. Having the composition notebooks allows for organization and the pages are great because they are specific for young writers. The lines are big enough to write on and there is space for a drawing as well.

Students need the opportunity to write everyday.

Students need the exposure and practice in writing different genres. The Ready to Write! Prompt Box has interesting prompts from Narrative to Informational to stimulate the young author. These prompts can also be used to develop their writing skills across the genres.
