Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are primarily from low income house holds, which often means school supplies are on the bottom of the priority list. They are fast to adapt to any situation during these unpredictable times. I have been especially astonished with students this year. They are eager to learn something new everyday. Even with the lack of supplies, my students show an incredible hunger for knowledge.

My students have done an amazing job making the best out of a not so ideal situation.

I do not think that due to the lack of funds, students should be forced to miss out on artistic activities. These students show incredible determination and a hunger for knowledge.

My Project

My students are form primarily low in come areas in East Las Vegas. The area is high in Covid-19 cases, but students show up everyday ready to learn something new. I am able to give them the ability to get away from the outside world and express themselves in a creative way.

Unfortunately, my students are not able to purchase some of their basic art supplies.

This limits us on what mediums we can use in the art classroom. By donating to this project you are helping hundreds of students explore new artistic mediums like painting, color pencils, charcoal, and graphite. My students are eager to come into the classroom everyday and try something new. My students are ready to show off their austonishing abilities.
