My Students

I love my students’ imagination and passion! Their energy for learning is unparalleled, and their enthusiasm is contagious.

My amazing bunch of 28 students comes from different cultural, religious, and ethnic backgrounds that we celebrate every day.

Each student has a unique and valuable set of experiences and abilities that they contribute to the class. We have worked hard to build bonds with each other and consider our class to be like a family, while our classroom is like a home. Students truly feel safe to be themselves, take risks, and explore.

My Project

What would life be like without clean water, clocks, or calendars? Would you want to build pyramids or skyscrapers without modern day technology? What would it be like to fight in the American Revolution, Civil War, or World Wars?

These questions may not come naturally to fourth graders, but they are important to ponder because this curiosity will lead students to explore world history and gain more appreciation for the challenges others have faced and overcome all over the world.

Upon receiving these materials, students will have fun while learning U.S. and world history. The books will help enrich topics in our social studies books and allow students to explore other topics we don't typically learn in fourth grade. It is my hope that they become gain a lifelong appreciation for history and gain confidence to face challenges they are up against in life!
