My Students

The laptop that we use in class is constantly infected with viruses, due to my scholars infected thumbdrives. When they need to print some work that they have saved on their flash drives, those flash drives are usually infected and leave viruses on the computer, resulting in the computer's crashing.

I teach A/P Calculus, Physics, and Algebra & Trigonometry in a high school located in a high poverty, high need area in New York.

My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds and skill levels; nevertheless, all my scholars share the same drive for learning. As a concerned teacher, I believe that it is only fair to look for ways and means to assist my scholars to achieve their educational goals.

My Project

Our computer crashes often in the middle of lessons, disrupting the flow of the lessons. Before we get back to the lessons, we have often wasted a considerable amount of time. Given that technology has become a necessity in our classrooms, students are making a great deal of progress in terms of learning. With this Apple Macbook, that I am requesting we can have flowing lessons without the risk of any disruptions that might be caused by viruses. Ever since we started the projection system in our classroom, my students have shown a lot of progress in grasping the concepts that I find easy to explain using visuals.

I cannot thank you enough for making this project a reality.

There is no need for me to stress how much our education system needs your help as we are facing all these financial constraints; but I believe that if we combine our efforts, our scholars can focus their energy on learning as opposed to worrying about some needed supplies for their classrooms. Knowing that you will not hesitate to fund this project, please accept my profound gratitude.
