I love teaching kindergarten. Five year-olds have this amazing energy that is infectious. They devour stories, soak up knowledge like sponges, and always ask for more.
They love to be able to get up close and experience learning.
Each student has a unique point of view and they are eager to share with each other. There are days when they make you laugh, want to pull your hair out, or even cry. There is never a dull moment in kindergarten!
My Project
You simply would not believe the amount of ink that is required in my classroom. We make copies for homework, flashcards, take home books, guided reading books, lesson plans, assessments, letters home, class projects, and the list goes on and on. Many of these items I laminate so they can last longer than 20 minutes with one group of 5 year-olds.
Ink is the lifeblood of our classroom.
Without it we would be very limited in the ability to be creative and think outside the box with our lessons. The lamination pouches make it possible to have fun interactive activities at a much cheaper cost than store bought materials.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
