Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

This year, I would like to focus on the importance of attendance. Attendance matters and I want to reward the students that show up. Attending school has a huge impact on student success. Encouraging regular school attendance is one of the most powerful ways you can prepare students for success—both in school and in life. Students have a better chance at graduating when attendance is a priority. I would like to reward students who have achieved perfect attendance and improved attendance in each quarter.

The students will receive a slushy party.

We need a slushy machine. The students said they love the blue raspberry and fruit punch flavors. The students will not only receive an incentive for attendance but also gain a culture for academic success.
