My Students

My students are from Houston and our school has the only animal and environmental science magnet program in the district. Our focus is to educate, equip, and empower them through meaningful relationships. Although my tiny scholars come from a variety of social and economic disadvantaged backgrounds, they share the same love for learning.

My Project

This is my first year teaching reading intervention in first grade and my students really need reading material. Due to the new COVID guidelines our school is on a strict NO sharing supplies mandate.

My little scholars were so eager to come back to school and it hurt to tell them the library corner is closed, due to not being able to share our classroom books.

Could you imagine being a reading teacher with NO books? Please be the reason our classroom library is OPEN for reading again! Help my students to LEARN and LOVE reading.
