Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach at a low-income school and would like to create an engaging environment with and for my students: a place where they can also feel at home.

To accomplish this, I've selected decorations and wallpaper to adorn the room and turn it into a space for comfortable and collaborative learning.

The rolling cart will contain supplies and will be accessible to students to restock their supplies when needed.

The whiteboards are for students to use for math and writing practice. They love writing with markers!

The rug will be used in our calming corner. We are an inclusion school and have students with various needs, and many can benefit from having a center to self-regulate before returning to work.

Learning games like SPLASH would be a fun addition to our classroom!
