I teach all subject to fourth graders. This proposal deals with a special education focus on health and nutrition awareness. In a world of fast food and high stress, wouldn't you like to personally help students learn how to eat healthy and stay fit to achieve their goals?

In our state, the fourth grade is the only curriculum where food and nutrition is directly taught. There are no materials or information in our current science books. With obesity at an all time high, won't you help me educate my students in a fun hands-on way to live a healthier life?

I found some interactive games and inflatable food pyramid materials that will engage the whole class. Everyone needs to learn how to be healthy and these classroom games are designed to educate while having fun. They will motivate and encourage my students to learn more.

Without your help, I will only be able to lecture to my students about healthy habits. I need your help to "engage" them and create real understanding about health and nutrition. Thank you so much for reading my proposal.
