My Project

Imagine trying to concentrate on learning when your stomach is empty, a reality for millions of children every day. In the United States alone, about 13.8 million children live in food-insecure households, unsure of where their next meal will come from. For students in Title I schools, this struggle is all too familiar, affecting their academic performance and overall well-being. Despite programs like the National School Lunch Program, which feeds 29.6 million children daily, many still go hungry, especially during the summer months when participation drops dramatically. Hunger doesn't just hurt; it hinders

I don't mind my students being hungry for knowledge because I can confidently fulfill that need.

What I do mind is them being physically hungry, as lacking something as simple as a light snack can alter their whole day. By supporting our class with snacks, you can help ensure these children have the nourishment they need to focus, learn, and thrive. Your generosity can transform their educational experience, making a world of difference one snack at a time.
