I need tuition for the Breathe for Change course. This course will directly impact 20-25 students each school year. In the future I may also lead workshops to have an even larger impact.

My Project

Funding this project will directly impact 20-25 students each school year and potentially more. Every school year it becomes abundantly clear that our students need help fostering their self-regulation skills so they can show up and be ready to learn. This professional development equip me with the knowledge of how to lead students in a quick yoga session as well as other mindfulness strategies. My goal is also to help students to become more aware of their bodies and emotions and to be more reflective. That way they can determine what it is they need in the moment. My hope is that this will help hinder some of the more problematic behaviors or at the very least help them to de-escalate. I'm envisioning a much more calm, peaceful, productive and happy classroom! I believe this course will equip me with the knowledge and practical skills for how to achieve just that. I appreciate any amount you can contribute to this project.
