This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My wonderful pre-K students love school. They are so happy to come to school every day. It is amazing how their energy transfers over to me. I love their love of learning and ambition. Yoga time is one of their favorite activities. They go home and try to teach their parents how to do yoga. It’s amazing how they are able to transfer over at such an early age what they do in school to their home life. I would love to surprise them with real yoga mats.

My Project

Many of my students lack the focusing skills required to be successful learners. They come to school with many issues and problems from home. They have a hard time listening to lessons being taught. Threw yoga I hope to help them achieve these skills and many more along the way. If I can help these little learners get a good grasp of their emotions and in turn help them focus then they truly can achieve anything they want. I feel that when you lay the correct foundation and a love of learning very early on in their educational career, children can achieve many great things.
